How Injection Molding Works

Step1. Mold closing: both sides of the mold are closed and the mold is closed.

Step2. Injection: The material is fed into the machine and pushed toward the mold. When this happens, the material melts due to heat and pressure. The plastic is then injected into the mold - this is called "injection".

Step3. Cooling: The plastic in the mold cools and solidifies into the shape of the part.

Step4. Ejection: After the part is cooled, it is ejected from the mold.
