Materials used in the MJF 3D Printing Process
►MJF technology uses nylon PA 12 to produce parts with high strength and the highest quality while offering lower cost per part and higher throughput.
►Nylon PA 12 glass beads are used in MJF to produce stiff and high-quality parts at a lower cost.
►PA 11 is used together with MJF to produce flexible parts with high ductility at the lowest possible cost.
Advantages
Good mechanical properties
MJF can print parts in ultra-thin layers (80 microns). This results in low porosity and high density, enabling printed parts with high resolution and good dimensional accuracy. The surface finish is naturally very good.
Good value for money
The high dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties of MJF parts reduce the cost of coloring and surface finish without the need for additional post-processing. Second, because no support is required, powder materials can be recycled and reused.

Introduction to MJF post-processing
►Staining: SLS parts are porous which makes them ideal for staining. MJF can provide more color options, and the color slot can ensure that all inner and outer surfaces of the part are covered, and suitable for complex geometries.
►Oscillatory Polishing: Passing a drum with a small-medium to smooth the surface of the part, this method gives your part a smooth and slightly shiny appearance, similar to injection molded parts. It should be noted that it is not suitable for thin-walled parts and affects tolerances.
►spray painting: The porosity of MJF parts, through painting, can obtain various finishes, and improve the wear and tear resistance, surface hardness, and water tightness of the part, while limiting marks and smudges on its surface.
►Plating: A combination of metals is deposited on the surface of a part, changing the aesthetic and making the part look like metal.
►Media/Bead blasting: Bead blasting involves using an airbrush to blast fine media into beads or balls to smooth 3D-printed objects and create a smooth surface finish.
