The Process Detail

The printer deposits a layer of material powder on the print bed in preparation for Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing Technology. A melting agent and refiner are then applied to the powder by an inkjet head as it passes through it. Then, the printed material is passed over by the infrared heating apparatus. The bottom layers fuse together whenever the flux is introduced, but the refiner-only sections stay powdery. The desired shape is produced by exfoliating the powdery portion.
