The Printing Process
When using SLA 3D printing, the laser will first "pull" the first layer of printing into the photosensitive resin. This will cause the liquid to solidify wherever the laser hits it, and it will then pass through the computer-controlled mirror, allowing the laser to be directed to the precise coordinates.
After the first layer, the platform thickens (usually by about 0.1mm) and permits additional resin to flow underneath the object that has previously been printed. After that, the subsequent section is also laser-cured, and so on until the entire part has been produced. The resin in the drum that has not been exposed to the laser is still usable.
