The printing process: Laser Sintering
To create your 3D print, a laser in the printer fuses polyamide powder together. How it works: An ultra-thin layer of polyamide is spread by a roller. The 3D printer's print chamber is then heated to a temperature of just under 170°C/338°F. The laser hits those areas of your design layer, raising the temperature in those areas to just over 170°C/338°F, the powder starts to melt and the part starts to sinter. The 3D printer spreads the powder layer by layer, and the laser systematically touches the correct spots on each layer, sintering the object together.
