What are 3D printed orthotics?

3D printed orthotics are medical devices worn on different patients to correct foot mechanics, ankle-foot, and scoliosis, allowing you to walk, run or hike freely without pain. Patients with plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and other foot conditions will get the relief they need with this amazing new technology.

3D-printed orthoses can also help relieve back and knee pain by stabilizing and improving the position of the feet.

Unlike traditional custom orthoses, 3D printed orthotics feature a lattice design that provides the perfect stiffness and flexibility to support every part of the foot. They are thin and light and offer unmatched comfort for sports, work, and everyday activities.

In cases where more biomechanical control is required, the 3D printer fills the lattice space of the orthosis without making it thicker or heavier. Using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology, the thickness of the orthosis can be easily adjusted to suit your individual needs.

How are they made?

Capture high-resolution 3D images of the soles of the feet and lower legs using the HP Software Laser Scanner. We also use a special board to get a standing and dynamic view of your gait, so we can analyze your feet in motion.

Thousands of data are used to create your unique 3D printing orthosis. You'll get a detailed review of your scans to take with you.

How long?

Traditional custom orthotics take six weeks to make. Because 3D orthoses are printed, they take far less time—usually three weeks.

Designed for all your shoes

In the past, you had to buy orthoses that fit all kinds of shoes. Due to its slim, lightweight design, 3D printed orthoses reduce the need for multiple pairs of orthoses.

Eco-friendly manufacturing

3D-printed orthoses keep our environment green! Go 4D, the company that manufactures orthoses is able to significantly reduce production waste compared to hand-made ones. 3D foot scanner technology eliminates landfill waste from foundry materials and carbon emissions associated with transportation. Recycle non-toxic, biocompatible 3D printing powders to optimize usage and reduce waste.
