There are two manufacturing routes for the 3D printing integral pump impeller provided by JR. One is to process the sand mold of the impeller by binder jetting (3DP) or selective laser sintering(SLS) and then manufacture the impeller by casting and machining. The other is to directly 3D print the impeller through powder bed metal melting (SLM). JR can provide the optimal solution according to the purpose and size of the integral pump impeller.

Forming materials and application fields of 3DP technology
1. Prototype parts application materials, such as nylon powder, ABS powder, and gypsum powder;
2. Mold application materials, such as various metal powders, ceramic powders, and various sand powders for sand casting, high-performance nylon, etc.;
3. Rapid manufacturing of application materials, such as precious metal powders with special properties, light metal powders, high-strength metal powders, rubber powders, structural ceramic powders, functional ceramic powders, etc.
4. In the field of medical applications, the raw powder for tableting, stem cell solutions, and some special functional and biocompatible structural material powders can be formed. Common materials used in semiconductor-like manufacturing, include gold, platinum, copper, and some insulating materials.
JR uses 3DP printing technology to print the sand mold of the integral pump impeller by the equipment in just a few hours. After the printing work is completed, the excess sand is removed, and then the sand mold is cleaned by compressed air, and then shipped to the foundry. At the foundry, these sand molds are black-painted, and the assembled sand molds are sent to a 1650°C casting environment to cast impellers in corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
